Description

Lovely quality antique edwardian inlaid mahogany double bedstead c1900

This is a lovely quality edwardian mahogany double bedstead and dating from around 1890-1900. It has a shaped and moulded top rail which is finely strung with satinwood and ebony above two central panels again both of which are finely strung and with vertical slats to either side of the panels. The footboard mirrors the headboard but is slightly shorter in height. It has its original screw in side irons.

A lovely antique bed of quality mahogany and it is in very good condition with a deep colour and original patination to the mahogany and oozes the charm and character of the period and I am sure that whoever buys this will be very pleased with their purchase.

Measurements: height to headboard 49" X height to footboard 37" X 82" long X 54" wide

Takes a standard double mattress
