Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
It has four drop leaves which make it ideal as a card or games table. The top and flaps are all intricately carved with vine leaves and the drop leaves are supported by carved brackets with handles. In good condition, this is a quality piece and has Cope’s patent brass and ceramic castors which are often a feature of quality furniture of this period.
