Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1850s.
It also has solid walnut applied outside edges. The solid walnut base is equally impressive, with deep carvings all over the centre piece & on the legs, which sit on brass casters. Please enlarge all the images to see these wonderful details & the splendid original warm colour. This table can be tilted & placed in a corner if required. It’s also a good size & will seat 4 comfortably & 6 at a pinch. The condition is excellent & it has a good original look with plenty of character. This table dates to around the 1840-60 period. It has to be one of the finest examples of this kind of table I’ve had.
