Sussex Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the 1910s.
The bottom doors open to reveal a single shelf in each section. All doors are lockable (keys present). The bookcase has Queen Anne influences and the base has a lovely serpentine sweep to it. There are many other features showing the quality such as the gadrooning around the edge, the individual glazing bars, the flutted corners but the weight and solid panelled back are a good quality gauge.
This bookcase would have been retailed by a good London showroom such as Maple & Co and is in excellent condition having be re finished to a very high standard by ourselves.
