George III Open Dresser Base C.1790

18th century
Description

Late 18th.c. English oak three drawer dresser base c.1790. Three plank top with a simple thumb moulded edge over three drawers. Crossbanded drawer fronts with brass swan neck handles and lovely original brass escutcheons. Deep ogee mouldings above and below the drawers and oak panelled sides. Raised on good turned front legs with block feet and a little pierced bracket where they meet the carcass. Some old wear to the top, and a couple of repairs to the corners of the drawer fronts. Otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
