17th Century Dutch Delft Baluster Vase Circa 1680

Description

A wonderful Dutch Delft vas with a wasted baluster shape to a slightly flared base.

The decoration is is exceptional and replicates the Chinese Transitional tradition. The decoration shows scholars within a rocky landscape.

The base has a either a makers mark or more probably a piece work tally mark.

The foot has a very old chip and the rim has been professionally restored. Please see the photo. Any questions happy to help.
