Description

Delightful little early 18th.c. oak coffer c.1730. Just 41" wide, three panel lid with moulded front edge over a two panel front with original carvings. A simple design of stylized tulip flowers to the top rail and both panels and further detail to the stiles and bottom rail. Original iron lock plate. Solid oak throughout, panelled sides and rear. Old iron bracket at the rear and an earlier repair to the top of the front right hand stile. Otherwise excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
