A Fabulous Star Gilded Opaline Glass Cologne Bottle

Description

An exquisite cologne bottle with the fabulous combination of white opaline glass and gilding. This gorgeous piece has a matching ball stopper and hand gilded star and dot decoration. The bottle is probably French and dates from the late 19th Century. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent, with no chips or cracks to the body. There is some loss to the gilding on the neck and stopper and a small chip to the peg of the stopper, commensurate with age and use.

Origin :- French.

Date :- c1880.
