Hingstons of Wilton has dated this piece to the 1910s.
We are delighted to offer you this pair of fine inlaid walnut Italian commodes.
Made at the start of the 20thc. for a grand home to put in an important hall or drawing room.

These bombe and serpentine shaped chests are veneered in walnut and also inlaid with fluid inlays that form cartouches to the fronts and sides.
Each chest has 2 large drawers and a third narrow drawer in the frieze.

Each chest stands on carved cabriole legs joined by a shaped apron.
The variegated marble tops add to the chests splendour, also practical if a vase of flowers is placed on the top there is no worry if spillage of water occurs.

This pair of commodes are unique to us and as they have been selected for our stock you have the Hingstons Antiques brand guarantee.
