Description

A Pair of 19th Century Vases.

The vases of classical campana shape, the rims cast with vine leaf decoration above the bodies decorated in relief, depicting cherubs gambolling with a goat, as they pick grapes hanging on vines above their heads. The bodies of the vases on reeded tapering bases with leaf decorated socles, spreading to a circular foot, likewise leaf decorated. The vases on marble plinths, with vine leaf trophies mounted to each side. The plinths on stepped bases, with stiff leaf mouldings and brass foot plates.

Height 15 1/4 inches, width 5 1/2 inches, depth 5 1/2 inches.
