Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated this piece to the 1750s.
The lid with a brass banding, repeated in two bands to the downward and inward tapering body. The upper band fitted with a pair of ring handles.
The body resting on the octagonal mould edged stand, supported by flute and mould legs, finished with squat castors.
Height 28 1/2 inches, width 18 inches, depth 18 inches.
