Description

Beautiful early 19th.c. mahogany wardrobe cabinet or linen press c.1830. Single door with a long dressing mirror, fitted inside with four adjustable shelves. Over two useful drawers in the base, one cleverly hidden in the front of the plinth. A particularly good looking example of the form with unusual plum pudding figured mahogany veneers across the front and sides. Crisp moulded cornice with gadrooned detail, canted corners and raised mouldings to the door and drawer fronts. Original locks and key. Retaining the sliding dust cover to the larger drawer. Oak lined interior, oak back panels and drawer linings. Some minor scratches to the mirror, otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops.
