Large George III Cheshire Oak Housekeeper’s Cupboard Linen Press C.1800.

Description

Ample storage space within this fabulous George III Cheshire oak housekeeper’s cupboard or linen press c.1800, unusual at just 77 inches high. Four door top fitted with shelves over a base section with three long drawers of graduated depth, flanked with a short drawer and a cupboard to each side. Crisp ogee moulded cornice with a crossbanded mahogany frieze, reeded mahogany detail to the front corners of the top and the base and a matching reeded waist moulding. Panelled doors with raised mouldings, solid oak sides and raised on unusual turned bun feet. Excellent condition and particularly good colour, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied. Separates into two pieces plus cornice for delivery.
