Description

A 17th Century Delft Charger.

The scalloped rim sloping toward the slightly dished, thence flat centre. The outer portion decorated with bunches of flowers amongst scrolling leaves, separated by scrolled, leaf filled borders. The centre of the charger intensely painted with a profusion of flowers and leaves. The rear with 'paw' dot decoration surrounding a small foot rim, and the makers marks for Cornelius de Keizer.

Date c 1690.

Diameter 14 inches, height 1 3/4 inches.
