Superb Antique English Sterling Silver and Guilloche Enamel Pill Box

Description

A fabulous little pill box made from English sterling silver with a hinged lid and gilded interior.

The top of course is what makes this a special and highly sought-after example decorated with a central lilac coloured guilloche enamel and a band of pale ice blue enamel. With a bright shiny patina the engine turned decoration below is showcased, a really pretty example.

The underside is where the hallmark can be found for Birmingham 1912 together with the makers initials for the silversmith, Charles Edwin Turner.

Excellent condition with undamaged enamel measuring 1 3/8" in diameter x 3/4" tall.
