This is an antique hall chair, an English, Victorian, pitch pine armchair with ecclesiastical overtones dating to circa 1880.

Good colour throughout with a wax polished finish

Exhibiting ecclesiastical overtones

'X' frame construction, front legs rising into shaped armrests and wings

Demi-lune fret cut decoration to the raked backrest

Solid seat slab with loose cushion for comfort
