Romantic English Sterling Silver Heart Shaped Photograph Frame - 1899

Description

A beautiful and very elegant photograph frame for that special picture you wish to cherish.

The backing is made from solid English Oak with a folding easel stand. The sterling silver wraps around the side of the Oak backing and is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1899, a true Victorian example. The makers mark is rubbed but I can make it out to be H A for the Atkin Brothers - Harry Atkin, a well respected silversmith.

The original bevelled glass is intact. Excellent condition measuring 6 3/4" x 6 3/4" with the aperture measuring 5" x 4".
