Description

Fine quality large Queen Anne style walnut writing desk c.1900. 61"x 33" top with original tan leather skiver, crossbanded border and thumb moulded edge, over five drawers arranged around a generously sized central kneehole. Walnut veneers arranged in a symmetrical pattern across the drawer fronts, sides and rear of the desk. Original brass drop handles. Shaped apron to all sides and raised on eight Queen Anne cabriole legs with carved scallop detail to the knees of each one. Superior quality with solid walnut carcass and mahogany drawer linings. Note also the Brahma lock used to provide extra security on the top left hand drawer. Some old wear to the leather, otherwise excellent colour and condition. Cleaned and polished in our workshops. Keys supplied.
