Early 20th.c. French Art Deco figure of a boules (or petanque) player c.1930. Nicely observed figure of an athletic looking young man in a dynamic pose, captured in the run-up to his throw. Cast in spelter with very attractive bronze finish. On a pale onyx base with black marble edge. With a repair to the marble on the rear side. Otherwise excellent condition.
