Superb Large Antique Georgian Mahogany Bureau C1780

18th century
Description

This is a superb antique george 111 mahogany bureau and dating from around 1780. It has a fall front with brass escutcheon and working key which opens to reveal a very nice interior with a small central door flanked on either side by two arched shaped compartments and two short over one long drawer all of which are pine lined and with small brass knob handles above an open compartment with shaped frieze. The base has two short drawers over three long drawers all of which are pine lined and with original brass handles. To each side of the bureau there is a quarter turned and reeded column and it stands on lovely bracket feet.

Unusually larger size.

It is in very good condition with a lovely deep colour to the mahogany and with original patination.

It measures: 45" high X knee height 33" X 20" deep X 45" wide.
