An 8 leg carved gilt wood George II Style country house stool. The rectangular sprung and padded seat newly upholstered in Clarke and Clarke majestic garnet velvet and supported on 8 finely carved gilt wood column supports with Doric capitols, united by X framed stretchers with central carved rosettes and lobed bun feet. English circa 1900

Dimensions: 64" wide x 18" deep x 21" high

Condition: This stool is in beautiful condition.

Provenance: Purchased from the Catherine Cookson auction 26/Nov/1998
