The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1930s.
The watch measures 26mm wide excluding the winding crown and 31mm high excluding the lugs. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the hinged case back although the date letter is difficult to decipher, we think it is Edinburgh 1937 which would be correct for the style of watch. The case was made in London by the British Watch Case Company. It is in good condition with just the odd minor mark, nothing serious at all.

The lens has a little marking but you need to look closely to see it.
The dial is in its original finish with nicely shaped hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
A later strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a vintage presentation box from Mappin & Webb, the London jewellers.
