~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~
A rare and spectacular antique French Rococo clock of large proportions.
Below the dial is a collection of musical trophies, a lute, pipes and a book of music.

The front and the sides of the case have fretted sound panels backed with blue fabric. The rear door is glazed to allow the movement to be seen. The design is beautifully bold and heavily modelled, well chased and finished. It is modelled in the round and so would display very well on a table or in front of a mirror. The dial is porcelain enamel on copper with silver plated Rococo hands and convex glass.

The French movement is of high quality and is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is a replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click the video clip below to hear the bell and watch the clock running!

Condition of the case is excellent, the plating is bright and clean with very minor discolouration in places. The dial is also in excellent condition with no damage. We have replaced the fabric with fresh.

Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
