They have a beautiful rich patination and a good country look.
There are the usual minor signs of wear and age and some old repairs where small chips have been replaced with new pieces of wood but nothing detrimental or untoward for a chest of this age. One of the bottom handles is slightly different to the rest but it doesn't stick out. The drawers run well and are generally cleana and tidy however there are some minor stains and splits within the drawers. The chest is strong and sturdy and overall they're a good quality set that displays beautifully.
