A 19th century Arts and Crafts ebonised and parcel gilt elbow chair, with a spindle back, above a stuffed-over seat with has been recently upholstered in William and Morris ''forest velvet'' fabric. This chair looks to be loosely base on the liberty and co Sussex chair featured in their Yuletide Gifts catalogue, Which at the time of productions was said to be based upon a chair in a painting by C.R Leslie''s Londoners ''Gypsying'' in 1820.
