Antique Carved Hardwood Chinese Armchair

Description

This spectacular looking rare antique armchair I believe is Chinese & it has amazing deep carvings all over. It dates to around the 1890-1910 period & is in excellent condition having just been polished. I can't possibly describe all of the details, but look at the dragon arms & all the intricate details on the back. Please enlarge all the images, because every time I look at it, I see some other detail I hadn't spotted before. This isn't really a chair for sitting on, but more of a statement piece. I have seen these chairs with an added loose cushion on the seat, but personally I think that spoils the look.
