A Mahogany Early Victorian Period Gothic Revival Library Table with Specimen Marble Top

Description

. Having a rectangular solid mahogany top with canted corners having an inset marble top with a variety of specimen diamond marble insets. Supported on spiral twist columns with Gothic arches and stepped feet, united by a stretcher with pierced Gothic motifs. The marble inset top may possibly have been brought back by a wealthy traveller and could be a grand tour souvenir inset into an English table at the time. English circa 1850-1860

Dimensions: 34" wide x 22" deep x 31" high

Condition: This table is in excellent original condition, cleaned and waxed
