Large Staffordshire Prattware Child in a Cradle, C. 1800.

Description

A rare large sized Staffordshire Prattware cradle, c. 1800. The unusually large cradle moulded with vermicelli decoration, set upon rockers, and covered in Pratt glazes. The sleeping girl, wearing a night dress, decorated in Pratt colours; her head resting upon a pillow with moulded tassels coloured in yellow.

Length - 20.5 cm, 8 1/8”.

Height - 10.2 cm, 4”.

Width - 7 cm, 2 3/4”.

Condition - Some Typical glaze flaws and staining. No damage. No restoration.
