The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1940s.
The watch has a Swiss hand-winding movement with 15 jewels which is working well. The movement is signed with the Record name. There is some discolouration to the plates but this does not affect the movement.
The watch measures 29mm wide excluding the winding crown and 29mm high excluding the lugs.
The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for London 1947 with a maker’s mark LA for City Watch Case Company (Louis Arnould). The front of the watch is in nice condition. The case back has several little knocks and bruises.

The lens is in good condition.
The signed dial is in its original finish with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
A later black brown leather strap has been fitted.
