Romantic Antique English Sterling Silver Box - Cherubs and Heart

Description

About as charming and romantic as they come, this Edwardian silver box has a beautifully decorated hinged lid with a cherub either side of a heart with an arrow through it. The shaped border of the lid has some pierced or reticulated detail.

There are several English hallmarks for London 1903, Edwardian in era. The makers initials are also present for the silversmith, Stuart Clifford.

The box is heavy and a good gauge of silver weighing 1.96 Troy Ounces / 60.9 Grams. Excellent condition measuring 2 1/2" x 1 7/8" x 1 3/8" tall.
