George III Card Table

Description

A George III Card Table.

The mahogany demi lune card table with a cross banded edge, within satinwood stringing. The top opening to a baized playing surface, within the cross banded and strung border. The top supported when open by the pair of rear legs hinged with a gate action. The frieze in three bow panels, within crossbanded and satinwood strung borders, supported by the four square tapering legs, with strung inlaid decoration, finished with satinwood spade feet.

Date c 1780.
