A 19th Century Compass.

The brass case in two parts, with a rim edge to the top and bottom sections. The lid lifting off to the glass covered dial. The silvered dial marked for points of the compass and degrees with a floating pointer. The case marked for 'BRAITHWAITE, OPTICIAN, DARTMOUTH'.

Date c 1850.
