Description

This delightful little basket is one of pair, I am however listing and pricing separately; please see item # 31411 for the matching piece.

Beautifully pierced or reticulated, the basket has four cherub or putti figural heads, one on each side that act almost as a little handles.

The base is set with a wonderful glossy piece of antique tortoiseshell, the contrast of shell set against silver is always such a striking combination.

The silver is hallmarked for 1932, it remains in excellent condition and measures 4 1/4" x 3".
