This antique Queen Anne style sofa & two armchairs are very good quality. They were made in the old fashioned way with hand coil springs & plenty of stuffing inside. The frames are really sturdy & well made too, with walnut bases & well carved walnut feet. I would date this suite to around the 1920's period & the upholstery has been done more recently, but still some time ago. The upholstery is a kind of green velvet & in good condition, with a slight bit of wear on the back of the sofa, showing in the images. This is very very comfortable & luxurious lounge suite & could be used as it is. However, it would certainly be worthwhile re-covering, because it would last a lifetime & not a few years like the modern suites they sell today. I must stress that this set is not something we have had done up in any way, so don't expect perfection, but it's not that bad & you can enlarge all the images to see for yourselves. I do believe it represents great value for money & would also be well worth having recovered.
