The box having applied arches with decorative turnings and white metal mounts. The whole raised on a moulded plinth base with turned bun feet. The sides having unusual cast metal carrying handles.The lid lifts and reveals the contents which include a complete boxwood and ebony chess set, a set of turned draughts, a set of dominos, 2 folding games boards with inlaid detail for chess, backgammon and 2 other board games.
