Large Victorian Antique Silver Pedestal Dish 1900

This exceptional STERLING SILVER PEDESTAL DISH is of oval form and stands on a raised stepped base with eight raised convex segments.

The Dish, made by J. Sherwood & Sons in 1900, is divided into twelve concave segments with alternate segments decorated with an embossed foliate pattern or plain with no pattern with all segments leading to the plain centre of this lovely dish. The dish is finished with an elaborately shaped rim with floral fan shaped decoration.

A beautiful quality Victorian Antique made from heavy gauge silver which would look superb in any setting and would certainly enhance any silver collection.
