A rare French brass cased striking carriage clock with a green enamel dial. A gilded masking to the dial signed by retailers 'Elkington & Co Ltd' with brass hands. A high quality case with fluted front and side columns and dentil cornice mouldings to the top and base. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a gong. A lever escapement. Circa 1900.
