Early 18th Century Wriggle-work Pewter Charger

Description

An early 18th century pewter charger decorated with wriggle-work and later owners initials. The decoration depicts tulips flowering and the name engraved at the top says J.R Elch Albertitz 1821 however this is not the date the plate was made ,as on the back of the charger there are three pewter makers stamps one of which is dated 1708. The overall condition of the charger is good however there are a couple of very fine splits to the inner rim. It is still an excellent display piece for any collector of pewter.
