Description

A superb Queen Anne style burr walnut bureau bookcase. Of excellent construction in solid walnut and attractive burr walnut veneers onto a solid oak carcas. This charming bookcase is of slender proportions but still affords good storage/display space. The domed top upper section is surmounted by a crest and has a single glazed door (lockable) which opens to access a shelved interior. The bureau itself has a lockable fall which opens to reveal a fitted interior with stationary compartments and series of small drawers and a cupboard. Beneath the fall is a single drawer fitted with its original brass handles. All standing on elegant cabriole legs in solid walnut with carved shell motifs to the knees. Sympathetically refinished in our workshops and now offered for sale in excellent condition, with a great colour and patina, ready to go straight into the home. Splits into two sections fro ease of installation.
