Magnificent pair of antique gilt bronze candlesticks with great definition & very realistic details. They are in the form of storks or herons, standing on tortoises. Please enlarge all the images to appreciate the quality & all the fine details. I would date them from some time in the mid-1800’s period & they could be French. The gilding is very strong.
