Victorian Scottish Silver Cream Jug – Edinburgh 1898

Description

A superb SOLID SILVER CREAM JUG assayed in Edinburgh in 1898.

Standing on a flat base with gadrooned decoration and a rope twist border, this lovely Jug has two ovoid blank cartouche surrounded by c-scroll and foliate decoration. An elegant applied classic scroll handle completes this stunning piece and the original gilt coating to the interior is still vibrant.

In excellent condition and free from any added engravings, this fabulous Antique Jug would look superb in any setting and would enhance any silver collection.
