Large Art Deco Bronze Scupture

1920 - 1940
Description

SALVATORE MELANI: a wonderful quality and most impressive Art Deco period BRONZE SCULPTURE which depicts a young near-naked nymph playing in the waves with two seagulls swooping around her. This large (and heavy!) bronze is signed within the integral base and is complete with its original variegated marble plinth. Overall measurements: 32ins wide; 21ins high; 9ins deep. (81 x 53 x 23cms).

***Salvatore Melani was born in Italy in 1902and died at the early age of 32 in 1934.
