Scottish Mahogany Grandfather Clock. Circa 1840

19th century
Description

Superb quality Scottish highly figured flame mahogany longcase or grandfather clock with 8 day striking movement by W. Constable of Dundee. The highly decorative case with carved decoration of thistles and ball mouldings to hood, paneled and cross-banded door with side quarter columns with carved decoration is all in superb un-touched original condition with no repairs. The movement is in perfect working order having been recently fully overhauled. The case in a wonderful rich colour with great waxed patina. As good a clock of its kind you will find.

Size; 89" high, 19" wide at hood, 10" deep at hood.
