An Unusual Chester Silver Breakfast Teapot

1900 - 1920
Description

A Chester silver teapot in an unusual futuristic style. The tapering body has a serpentine spout and pours extremely well. The base is concave and the hinged lid sits well in the recess. There is an attractively shaped ebony handle and an all silver knop to the lid. This charming example holds three large breakfast cups or four small ones. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent with no splits or serious dents. There are a couple of very small blemishes to the body, commensurate with age and use.

Hallmarks :- Clear and readable. Full set to body and matching part set to lid.

Height :- 10.5 cms. (highest point).

Length :- 19.5 cms (spout tip to outer handle).
