A Beautiful French Louis Xvi Style Marble Topped Marquetry Inlaid Commode

Description

A beautiful French Louis XVI Style marble topped marquetry inlaid commode. The shaped breche de lap marble top above three rectangular central oak lined drawers with a Classical ormolu central panel depicting cherubs at play. With parquetry inlay to the two lower drawers and finely cast ormolu handles and escutcheons. Having bowed ends with parquetry inlaid doors opening to reveal a shelved interior with cast ormolu mounts, the whole supported on French cabriole supports with paw feet. French circa 1880-1900

Dimensions: 57" wide x 19.5" deep x 35" high

Condition: This commode is in excellent original condition, the marble has had a historic repair at some time. Cleaned and waxed
