Regency Mahogany Desk Chair

Description

A magnificent antique Regency open armchair or desk chair in mahogany dating from circa 1810. The reeded oblong top rail above a carved centre rail, with generous scroll arms, it stands on out-swept sabre legs to the front and back. The stuff-over seat has been recently reupholstered in smart a faux leather material. Would make a wonderful desk chair.

Construction/Wood:

Mahogany

Condition Report:

Good condition. Solid and sturdy. Warm patina to the mahogany. Wear and marks commensurate with age. The stuff-over seat has been recently reupholstered. A well executed old repair to the front corner of the leg where it meets the seat rail.
