A charming and rare 19th century continental inkwell in the form of an owl with coconut body, and bronze mounted feet, tail & head, with inset glass eyes. The owl has his head turned slightly to the left and is hinged at the back of the neck opening to reveal an inset with an inkwell liner, stamped with the makers mark on the underside of the feet this splendid inkwell is in excellent overall condition standing 8 ¼ inches tall.
