Description

A 1950 Movado 9ct gold mid-size wrist watch.

The watch has a good quality 15 jewel (four adjustments) hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed with the Movado name.

The watch measures 30mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for 1950, together with the Movado name and also a case maker's mark for the Dennison Watch Case Company, a prolific maker of cases for various watch companies. The case is in good condition, just a few short scratches to the edge of the case back. There is an inscription around the perimeter of the case back from Matthew Hall & Co, a chemical and industrial engineering company.

The lens is in good condition.

The signed dial has a subtle two tone finish which is in good condition.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
