The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1950s.
It is working nicely.
The watch measures 33.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Edinburgh 1958 with a maker's mark for Smiths Clocks & Watches. The case is in good condition, just a small patch of marks on the back, almost like a graze. The retaining ring inside the case back has been soldered in at some stage, this does not affect the look of the outside of the case. The winding crown is a later replacement.

The lens is in good condition.
The dial is in good condition and the centre seconds hand with red detail is a nice feature.
A later black leather strap has been fitted.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
