The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1940s.
The watch has a 17-jewel hand-winding movement, calibre 12.68Z, which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 7535073 dates it back to 1948.
The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for London 1948, together with the name Baume, the UK importers of Longines watches. The front of the case is in good condition with just the odd minor mark. The case back has unevenness but is plain with no engraving.

The lens is in good condition.
The signed dial has a little marking, as does the hour hand, but overall very acceptable for a 1940s piece.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
